About TEDx

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. They are planned and run independently, under a free license granted by TED. TEDxZurich International School is one of hundreds of TEDx events happening around the world each year.

What is TED?

TED is a nonprofit that publishes short, powerful talks on almost every subject, from science and business to design, psychology, and global issues. It started in 1984 as a conference and now makes talks available online in over 100 languages, free at ted.com.

This independent TEDx event is operated under license from TED. This event is not organized by the TED conferences.
